Inspired by a Sock Monkey

The scraps have been flying, inking, stamping, cutting, embellishing. You name it. Convention 2008 (Stampin' Up!) has inspired my stamping creativity. Ok, that and I've been doin' a whole lot of casing lately. CASE as in Copy And Share (with) Everyone. So I shall.

This is a modified case from a fellow stamper, creator, and lover of chocolate. Ah, the love of chocolate. Anyhoo... her name is Jan and she is flying pigs amazing. You can find her and my inspiration here at Stamps, Paper, Scissors. I stock her blog when I can. After you see her
creations, just remember who sent you there, ok? So give this card a try, case Jan's or mine, or get creative and modified it a bit. Send a link to your rendition and I'll post it here.

Stamps: Sock Monkey
CS: Pacific Point, Kiwi Kiss, Bashful Blue, Whisper White
Ink: Pacific Point, Kiwi Kiss, Black Staz On
Misc: Grosgrain Ribbon (dyed to Pacific Point), eyelets, brads, Crop-A-Dile, sponge, glue, dazzling diamonds, watercolor brush

I can see using this layout again, how fun is it? Seriously. I love using punches in ways that you wouldn't normally think of. So, should this be a card (or something similar) that we do in my upcoming class? That's right, card class is around the corner. If you haven't already, sign up now! I'll be posting more cards that will be presented to make in class. :-).

As always, happy stamping!
